Join the Canadian SADS Foundation for a compelling webinar examining a potential breakthrough in treating Arrhythmogenic Cardiomyopathy. Dr. Roberts will explain the TaRGET Trial and how this research could lead to better treatment options and improved heart health for patients with Arrhythmogenic Cardiomyopathy.
Dr. Jason Roberts is a clinical cardiac electrophysiologist at Hamilton Health Sciences, an Associate Professor of Medicine at McMaster University, and a Scientist at the Population Health Research Institute.
As a clinician, his expertise includes treating arrhythmias such as atrial fibrillation, supraventricular tachycardia, and ventricular tachycardia with medications and catheter ablation. He also implants pacemakers and defibrillators.
Dr. Roberts also leads the adult clinical cardiogenetics program at Hamilton Health Sciences, which provides specialized care to patients and families affected by inherited forms of heart disease.
As a researcher, his interests focus on genetic arrhythmia and cardiomyopathy syndromes. He is particularly interested in evaluating the clinical utility of new drugs and gene-based therapies as treatments for these conditions. He is currently leading the TaRGET randomized controlled trial, which is evaluating a potential disease modify therapy for Arrhythmogenic Cardiomyopathy (ACM).
He completed his training in cardiac electrophysiology at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) and his cardiology fellowship at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute. He holds a Master’s degree in clinical epidemiology and biostatistics from UCSF.
